Lichen abundant: Ground-layer vegetation consists of more than 50 percent lichen.
Lichen moderate: Ground-layer vegetation consists of more than 25 and a maximum of 50 percent lichen. The reindeer husbandry area according to the definition of the Sámi Parliament. Forest land is land with trees higher than 5 metres and a canopy cover of more than 10 percent, or land where trees are able to reach these thresholds in situ. All figures are presented as 5-year moving averages, given as the middle year.
